Rear End Vent Body or Frame Mount

Post by Subzero »

I just noticed my vent tube from the differential just sits upright.. not connected at the top only on the differential. Is it supposed to be tied through something on the frame or bed to keep it from falling down? Mine is what looks to be 1/4 tube.
Thanks

My vent tube is located on the axle, mid way between the diff and the driver's side brakes. It screws into the axle housing, through a hole in the rear brake hose, and a hose clamps on to the end of and is clipped up on a rear crossmember. Ford 9".

I have it attached to the rear axle, just not any support holding up the other end that's open. Can someone post a picture of what should hold the tube up on the crossmember side?
Thanks

Mine's held up by a simple clip on the frame--
