Engine perch interchange question

Looked around here and the dentside site. Could not find the info.
I have a 78 150 4wd. currently has a M engine in it. M is weak and noisy.
Have access to 300-6.

So heres the question? Can i take FE perches from a highboy frame...72/73 i think...and use them in the 78 f-150 frame ?

I know the rear sections of frame are different, not sure about cab forward section?

I am assuming that 4wd is like 2wd and the FE/I-6 perch is the same. Hope that is right. If not. UGH.
