two big thumbs up! Excellent craftsmanship, excellent customer service, very reasonable pricing.
I sent my steering box to them on a Saturday and received it back the next Wednesday or Thursday.
Don't buy a rebuilt box from the local parts house.
Go to their website and click on the "Re-manufactured" link to see what they do.

Re: Red-Head Steering Gears
I agree 100%, did the local parts store rebuild install and then ordered a Red Head to replace it. If you are going to the trouble to change your steering box, go with a Red Head.

I have had that on my "to-do" list for a while now and once I get my tax return next year, Red Head will be getting my business.

Drove the hell out of my truck today. The steering is incredible compared to what is was before. I replaced all of the steering linkage and rebuilt the steering coupler while the truck was apart. The steering box has zero play.

Thumbs up X4. I actually visited their Seattle shop to trade in my my Bendix. Their facility was clean, spacious, organized and full of friendly folks. Open your wallet wide though and shake it empty.
