Another Radio and Speaker Question

I am trying to get tunes going with the factory radio and speaker. Radio is hooked up and lights on. The connection from the radio to speaker is messed by PO. Looks like he ripped the wire right off the speaker. Can i just solder it back on? Will post picture soon.

I can't see why your idea wouldn't work but you can test it by just pressing the wire to the speaker to see if it works before soldering it.
