Lunchbox locker???

Hi guys, this showed up on my local Craigslist and I have no idea if it will work in my 71" swb 2x2 or if it’s even a good deal or not or something I should just stay a way from.

Ford 9" third member from an early Bronco, 4.56 gears, locker and 28 spline. Worked good with no problems and was removed from my daily driver.
It didn’t have an ID tag. This third member has been rebuilt at some point. The gears are aftermarket and it looks like it has a lunchbox locker (lock rite, or similar style) in the carrier. $400.

Ask the seller which lunchbox locker... not all are created equal. A Powertrax is quieter than a Lock-Rite. The latter will click and clack around turns... not good for the street.

You need to know if it is for 28 or 31 spline axles as well.

OH, and 4.56:1 is a pretty serious gear, in a 2WD truck with a 28" tire you will be turning something like 3200-3300 RPM @ 60 mph....
