Does anyone know of a solution that would keep the transmission torque converter from leaking the ATF from the overflow port, if the truck sits for a while?
At least I assume this is what's happening.. When I drive the truck regularily it doesn't leak AT fluid, but if it sits for a week or more, it leaks a lot of ATF all over the place...
I mean the obvious solution is drive the truck more, but sometimes life gets in the way..

Where is the leak exactly? Sounds like it might be the pump seal. The permanent fix is to pull the transmission and replace the seal, but sometimes you can get good results from something like Lucas stop leak.

X2 on the Lucas.
It's not a cure all , but it's worth a try.

Mine leaks from the shifter assembly when I let it sit. When I drive it regularly--no leak!
