69 f100 team build
So finally started on the F100 project. Since I have a million things going on, my buddy and I are going to build it together. We have a 69 f100 shortbed that we've stripped to the frame. New mounts and floor pans have been put in the cab and now we're focused on the framed. Going through wire wheels for sure!
Going with the 302 (not pictured) and 3 speed.....

Is that fuel tank from a dent side behind the rear axle mount?

Yes. Although it doesnt tuck into the frame as nice as I want, so I will modify it later.

Re: 69 f100 team build
Trying to keep the motivation by doing little bits after work.
One of the backing plates was bent and badly gouged, so I trimmed a small bit of metal and welded it in, no where near perfect but will do for behind the rotor....

Also painted some smaller parts
and the sway bar
Then after lots of degreasing and wire brushing, gave the I-beam setup a final rinse.

UGH!! Now that we've spent hours cleaning these up, we realized the one spindle's bearing surface is just trash.... looks like a bearing flew apart in there sometime.

Found another junkyard 79, pulled the right side suspension, all good! Cost way more at this yard though. Now back to cleaning....

Got more work done...
Sway bar links: both sides of front suspension painted and reassembled And whether you hate the color or not, I just couldn't paint one more black frame... HA HA HA unfortunately this photo is crappy and it looks purple, but its really a medium blue.

Between the heat 95+ daily and work, progress has been a bit slim... Cut one coil off the springs and painted, also mounted the steering box.
