1971 f250 4x4 parking brake cable replacement
I just purchased a 1971 f250 4x4 rolling chassis. The truck caught on fire at some point and all the parking brake cables are melted and need replaced. I’m looking for recommendations on where to get replacement cables. I see that Dennis Carpenter sells replacement but it doesn’t give much info on the cables if it’s for 2wd or 4wd. What about using the cables off of my 1970 f250 2wd truck? Will they work on a highboy chassis?

Re: 1971 f250 4x4 parking brake cable replacement
A member on the FTE forum mentioned that LMC had the only rear cables for 4x4 that were correct that they had found. They said they had the proper angled shape that attaches to the rear backing plates. I have not tried them. I know the ones on my 70 f250 and 70 f350 are not the same. I was looking into getting new rear cables but am going to make mine work because I might do some axle swaps.
