I am buying a set of power seats out of a friends just wrecked 94 F150. If I understand the seat interchange section of this site, they should physically bolt down with little or no modifications. Am I right on that?
Second question. Has anyone on this board put power buckets in their truck? Kind of wondering about wiring, fuse(s), etc. I plan on going to a bigger alternater, I want to eventually add a/c, stereo, maybe power windows & locks.
Any good links to similar projects would be appreciated.

I wish I could help buddy. Maybe someone will pop in and save the day. I know the seats will bolt down physically but accommodating the electrical components is another story.

The bucket seat mounting brackets will take some work, just sitting them in the truck, the have about a 5-10 degree tilt to the outboard side. The seat brackets sit flat on the garage floor. the truck floor slopes down as it goes towards the doors. I am thinking of maybe a second bracket to level it out, maybe a piece of square tubing?
I googled power bucket seat swap, too many things too wade through, need to revise the google search.
I went to the classic truck and custom classic truck magazine web sites, no help there either. That would be a great article, my opinion anyway.

re: Anyone added power seats?
Jegs has several install kits for wiring in a variety of items, including a generic accessory kit. These have wire and switches for a neat installation. Also, they have fuse block kits and add on kits, some with as little as 3 circuits. They come with circuit breaker, relay, and terminals. If your 94' is the same as my 95' was, the switches are on the seat, so I would use an add on fuse block to power the seat functions.
