#09 - Feb. 11, 2007
First off, sorry for the fuzzy shot, this was taken before I got my latest digital, which takes more-detailed close-up shots.
Not all bumpside trucks have this bolt. What is the bolt used for and what trucks used it? (On trucks that DID use it, there were more than one used.)
One guess per member per day.

Exterior trim bolt/screw used to bolt the leading edge of the trim to the body.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

you can ford a river or stream and get to the other side, if you dodge it you will not, and if you drive a chevy to the levee it will run dry and the music will die.

I think it is for the under body gas tank straps to the frame. I would think camper specials and special order trucks.

ICEMAN got it!
'67-'69 in-cab fuel tanks are bolted in from the inside. However, the '70-'72 tanks have a bolt going through the rear cab wall from the outside and is held in with the retainer shown, so that the bolt protrudes into the cab...and the tank is attached to this with nuts.

re: #09 - Feb. 11, 2007
thanks.
it was an kind of an easy one i think.not many round head bolts used on these trucks to begin with, and the clip kind of gave it away.
