coil replacement

coil replacement

I'm replacing the coil on a 69-250...the old coil (original) has batt on one side and dist on the other...which one is positive and which is negative... workin on the fly here with no book no nothin....HELP!!!

The wire that comes of your disty hooks to the "dist" termenal and the wire that comes ofut of the cab hooks to the "Batt" terminal.

sorry man...guess I didnt explain it all...the new coil has only + and -...soo which one hooks up to the cab?

Wire from cab goes to "+", wire from dist goes to "-"

thanks...I appreciate it...this is our first one so I'm sure we'll be on here asking questions plenty...I'm so glad I found this site...its great....
