What did these seats come out of? It has a strange folding piece in the center. It's weird how it coordinates with the steering column.
I really want the seat further away from the pedals and steering wheel if possible but I don't know if I will get much room even without the in-cab gas tank. I think this seat is lower than the original which is also a plus because I am a big man. I could probably drive fine if I was sitting on the floor proper.
I am a little concerned about the tank anyway because it doesn't appear to be bolted in.

Once told a guy that said he wished he could get his seat to go all the way back as far as the sliders could go,in his chebby truck with out hitting the tank,to unbolt the seat, redrill the brackets so the seat brackets were closer to the wheel. when he asked me why he should do that I told him because then the seats will slide all the way to the back of the brackets instead of hitting the back of the cab..
I really didnt think he would actually listen to me..
I went to the local pic-a part on the weekend and found a seat that looks similar to that one in an '86 F150 Lariat. The one at pick-a-part has a lot of storage space in the middle fold down piece. I'm gonna try to get back there tomorrow to pick it up. If I get it, I'll throw some pictures up.

I got the seat today. I was a little angry at the yard because they have a price list posted that says "seats-$40" When I went to pay for it, they said $80. When I asked why, they said they count bench seats as two seats! Oh well, still a nice seat.
