re: replaceing the floor in Cab
It's hard to tell from the pictures but that doesn't look to bad from what I see. Is that more than just surface rust? I know sometimes that surface rust has lots of pinholes you can't see in a photo and then it's time to start cutting...

worldsmysteriem, keep me posted how you do on this one. I have the same problem on a 72. The right side is way worse than yours with rotted out areas about six inch square in two areas, all the way up to the edge flange. I was going to cut patches and weld/rivet them in but was weighing buying a panel from LMC for the right side. The left side isn't anywhere as bad so I may just POR15 the snot out of it. My 67 had the same rot on both sides but I was able to patch small areas about two inch square. Where did you buy your floor pan, LMC? ![Thumbs up ](./images/smilies/icon_thumright.gif)

1971Ford, Thanks for the followup. I went on www.classictrucks.com (never heard of that magazine} and what a wealth of information. Previous issues cover a lot of information that applies to a slew of problems I have.
Thanks again.![FORDification Rocks! :fr:](./images/smilies/icon_FORDification.gif)

Mysterie, look around in the body and paint subforum for similiar topics. I cut and sectioned in replacement metal from a donar '77 bronco (same floors) because my rust went into the door posts.
For me from experience I've found out that a torch can be your friend for rust. Run the flame over the damaged metal and if it's too rusty it'll dissentigrate. I ended up doing that on my cab corners and door edges. Just slowly move the flame over the rusty parts and the damage will dissapear leaving clean holes to patch...
