Just had to throw that out there. It hasn't been updated since 2000 or so, but shows the '83 Capri I stuffed a 351 into and a set of turbos junk yard style from before it was popular... Seven years later the stangnet site is dead and I have 150k on the '93 mustang...

not much to update, been to freakin cold to do anything  i beat a hemi the other day with it, the best part was his girlfriend was with him.  im not quite comfortable with the cam im running either, would anyone recomend a good cam for this application?? i know the basics of cams but thats about it. im also tempted to just throw a carburator on it, i dont think this efi is cutting it. a lot of tuning involved. havent had to yet but i would like to boost it maybe a single turbo. if i was doing that tho i would want full engine management.

my buddy runs a 347 in his 93 f150 4x4. It haul azz. ive got a 96 5.0 and in a race he pulls away from me in the final gear. Ill hit the governor and he will keep going. But there is no governor on that thing.

he runs a lunati cam. Its pretty narly im not real keen on the whole boring out of motors. But hes got a real high compression motor, he has to have a blow off valve, sounds like its got a turbo but no turbo.

he gets like 13 mpg out of it. i wanting to say 400+hp was what he was telling me. the power goes through a e4od, in to a nv 4500 (2500?) transfer case out to a i think an 8.8. Rolling on 33s

i remember when he built it up, he got it out of the machine shop took it back to his house, put it in the basement/garage, then found out it was supposed to rain. And fearing that it would rust from the humidity. We had to run out to the army surplus at 3am (the only thing open ) and buy john deer green engine paint (pretty to john deere green).

if you have any questions i gotta stop by his house saturday, and ill ask him.

Hey Mike
I've got a crane came that came out of my 302, that is ground for a super charger . I'd have to dig it out and pull the #'s off of it . if you think you might be interested in researching it to see if it is useable for your application let me know.

What intake manifold are you running? If you are running a stock truck intake and e7 heads the e303 is to much cam. The e303 needs hogged out e7 or a set of quality aftermarket heads and a intake manifold that matches you cams operating range; performer rpm mustang, bbk, ect. The truck intake upper is built for low end torque. You can put a holley systemax upper on your stock bottom and switch over to a mustang single blade throttle body.
1968 swb hydroboost, ididit tilt column, Saginaw p/s pump with F series serpentine, all led lights, Vintage Air and painless wiring. 393w, tko600. CV front suspension w/c5 calipers and gt500 rotors. Stock Flexomatic leaf springs with 01 CV 8.8, 3.90 gears and Auburn locker. Custom wood bed floor. Full frame off resto-mod.

You made the tough but correct call. A 1990 will never be worth and will always cost more to maintain than a bump.
