this is my first time using the site so i hope im not beating a dead horse here.
i've installed a new 390 in my 72 f100 with accel street billet electronic dist and a 1 wire powermaster alt. im not sure how to bypass the resistor wire for the distributor as accel recommends. looking at the schematic it looks like there is a wire running from the starter solenoid to a box, then one wire to the coil and another to the ignition. what is the box?
after eliminating the external regulator and its wiring harness for the one wire alt. i figured the large black wire with yellow stripe is the main power line into the cab, is it ok to run that directly from the battery side of the starter solenoid? what are the other 2 wires from that same connector to? one is red the other is yellow.
thanks for any help you can give me.

re: accel dist. powermaster alt.
and to the site!
On the wire from the starter solenoid (Brown) on the diagram that goes into the box with the (Pink) wire, that just shows that the two wires are connected together (spliced together with the red-green wire)
The only way to get around the resistive wire is to either replace the wire at the ignition switch (pink wire) to the coil or use a relay. For a relay use the pink wire to activate the relay and use 12V off the battery.
On the Alternator wire, the (Black-Yellow) hooking it up to the battery side of the starter solenoid is correct. As for the Yellow and Red wires, these are (were) for the Amp Gauge, you wont be able to use this with this alternator.
Hope this helps.
