gauge light not working

hey guys,
my light on my gauge doesnt dim any more and when i turn my interior head lamp on my gauge light goes on. i dont get it

Sounds like a screwed up headlight switch to me. That is the first thing I would check any way.

yea ther headlight switch has a coil wire in it that is a reostat that controls the power going to the dim of the dash lights. if its broken or dirty then you need a new switch.
