New Headliner

Finally decided to get the headliner done. I used a piece of tile-board from the local home depot. It’s a pressed hardboard about an 1/8â€

Thanks, Yes, it's a Masonite type material but slightly thinner than the Masonite they had available.

I have something I'm gonna try...
I cut the foam headliner out of a '95 Caravan,
It's big enough, but also has holes in it for the roof lights...
After cutting it out, there are extra pieces large enough to patch the holes with...
I figured I could just duct tape the patch pieces in from the back and use some spray glue to glue some new fabric over the front...
I'm gonna use some black vinyl to cover the metal door panels...
I saw some that another guy did...
They looked great with the real chrome metal trim on them...
I'll probably just match it for the roof... then paint the white metal trim pieces either black or Harbor blue to match the rest of the paint scheme...

did you paint the moldings black, or were they like that already?
I have been told that if your headliner starts to come loose you can heat it with hair dryer it will draw it back up and activate the glue again. I haven't tried myself i just redo it. I've done 1 mustang(79) and 3 camaros (82;85;90)
i just used the foam backed material and 3m adhesive worked well for me. I'm not sure what i'm going to do with the truck though, mine bows down in middle PO put a screw in center i think (is there one from factory).
Yours looks nice, mine looks like junkyard inside and out. Of course i have junkyard parts in it. when i went to scrapyard i caught a couple guys looking over mine, glad it was locked up! I guess i really do need a bumper

I sanded and then painted the mouldings black. They started out beige or off-white color. As usual I got in a hurry and didn't let them dry long enough got a few scratches on them during the installation but still looks a lot better than it did.
Yes, the center also takes an oval head screw with a *8 trim washer.
Thanks for the heat gun tip. Hopefully I won't need it...
