I got mine from NPD. Seems like pretty good quality and it was easy to install. Total time was 2 or 3 hours, and that includes pulling the seat out of the truck and reinstalling it.
I got mine at BOTP. I suspect most of the F100 vendors get their upholstery from the same supplier. Fit was good and to answer your questions, they were installed with hog rings and completely covered the sides and edges. You can't really see it in the pics but the inserts were a slightly different grain pattern than the outer cover. It wasn't an exact match for the original cover but was not bad. Gives it a little contrast even if you don't have diff color inserts like Seattle67. It leaves the back side with springs, etc. exposed like the original.
That looks good MAK. I thought I was getting all black when I ordered mine, the two tone was a surprise. I liked it enough to keep it, but I think I like the all black, like yours, better.

thats not a bad price around here just the seat being covered would cost that much thats why i went to school to do upholstery and got me a sewing machine and i want to open up my own shop some day but i am going do it as a hobby for know
I have some broken springs in my seat. I was planning on welding them when I recover the seat. Has any body done this before or does anyone have any suggestions?
