...the wiring led from a post on the back of the ignition switch to the indicator light itself and on to an insulated grounding contact mounted on the park brake assembly. When you push the pedal down, the rising cable hits the contact and grounds the system turning on the light. It turns out that there is a hole drilled in the truck brake pedal bracket that can be used for mounting the grounding contact and the chrome bezel from the car matches the light socket on our trucks exactly.
I reallize the existing light we have on the bottom left side of the dash is meant to signal an imbalance of pressure in the front and back brake circuits, but a guy could relocate it, maybe into the cluster with a small red led, if he wanted to add the e-brake warning. Handy for some of us occasionally absent minded folk...
