i had considered gettign a block of wood and carving it down tot he same shape but smaller. and have it wrapped in foam and vinyl. enough to make it the same size as the orginal.i don't know how it would work. but it might work out you never know.

thats what i was kinda thinking fordman, im just looking for a design that i like enough to try and emulate(sp?) it and make it work for my truck. the only problem i can see would be mounting it unless you butcher the mounting points out of an old pair of stock arm rests, or make a bracket or somthing that will work, i think you could take that bottom design that doesnt have the fancy metal piece and use some foam to make it work like a wider longer version of the stockers.
