Hmmm, not exactly to my taste, but if you are looking for a custom look that's a pretty cool way to go. Lots of possibilities with wood grains, finishes, etc.

When it comes to customizing your truck, all that matters is, "Do you like it?".

i think its a cool idea. i like to see the patterns in wood. it makes for such a better looking piece of whatever you use it on. if you could run acroos a nice big maple burl with lots worm holes in it that would look really cool. but those maple burls are expensive.

Looks good. Along with some others, it's not quite my taste, but I do plan to work some wood for my panels. Just a different style.

Fantastic craftsmanship,

Thats what true customizing is all about, building your own pieces rather than simply buying them and bolting them in. I am going to incorporate lots of stained and laquered maple or walnut into my '68 F100 when I get going on the interior projects; door panels, instrument panel cluster, auxillary switch panel where the ash tray is now (non smoker), center console, heater control panel and accents in the leather wrapped dash, and maybe some in the headliner.

I saw a high-dollar Jaguar years ago that made extensive use of dark walnut throughout and that effect has stayed with me ever since.

I must say that the photos you guys post of your work is truly inspiring for others who are looking for ideas. I have a folder dedicated just for pictures I copy from this site. Keep up the good work dudes. This is truly one of the most informative and useful sites on the internet, and I'm not just saying that because I'm a Fordification member, this site ROCKS!!
