5-slot mags, 8 lug
Figured I would post these here first before I throw them up on Craigslist. So PM me if someone wants them. I would rather not even attempt to ship these, so hopefully someone local to So. Cal. will want them. If someone really wants them shipped, then we can work it out, just walk me through it...
They are 16.5 wheels with the 8 bolt pattern that fits our Bump F250s. The front wheels are 8.5 and he rears are 9.75. They are straight and just need to be cleaned up some, but very nice for being over 35 years old. I was going to run these on my bump, but decided that rather than raise my truck, I am going to lower it some and the available tires for 16.5 wheels do not work with those plans.
Its unfortunate because I absolutely LOVE the old school look of these 5 slot mags, but they dont make them anymore.
Anyway, Im only looking for what I paid and that is $250.00 for the set (plus whatever shipping costs will be if we go that route).

Re: 5-slot mags, 8 lug
Shipping would be relatively easy, just go to your local tire and wheel store and ask them for wheel boxes that would fit them. I'm sure they could easily come up with something.

Thats an idea.. I guess shipping them in 4 boxes would be the way to do it.

Re: 5-slot mags, 8 lug
I love those wheels and would be all over this if I thought I could get tires for them. I've been unable to find anything wide enough for that 9.75" wheel in anything less than a 35" tire. I used to run 33x12.50x16.5's on mine, but just can't seem to find a source for new ones in that size anymore.

Re: 5-slot mags, 8 lug
Tirerack.com stocks the BFG's... Here is a link: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearc ... D=10398365&
Also found the BFG's in stock at Sears... Only question is the title of the tire says 16", but the description down below says 16.5. It is the same tire as the ones on Tirerack though, so I believe they are the 16.5's but a bit more expensive: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1260 ... 23324095-2
Here are ProComp All Terain for only a few dollars more than Tirerack, but also in stock: http://www.ahwooga.com/detail.asp?id=142480
ProComp Mud : http://www.ahwooga.com/detail.asp?id=142495
And ProComp Swampers : http://www.carolinaclassictrucks.com/Su ... medium=cpc
They can be a bit more money, but the 33x12.50x16.5 are out there and readily available. I was going to run the exact same size with the BFG's before I decided to lower my truck instead. Wish I could still run these wheels as I have yet to find anything even close to as much as I like the old slots.

Re: 5-slot mags, 8 lug
After drooling over the $10000 fire truck in this thread: http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... a&start=45
I am rethinking the lowering plans for my truck because I really love how these wheels look. Does anyone know if I would be able to run the 33x12.50x16.5 tires on a 72 F250 2wd at stock height? Or would I have to lift the truck a bit to get them to work?

Re: 5-slot mags, 8 lug
I am running 33x12.50s on 16.5's with slots on my 69 F250. They rub slightly on the front of the fender opening unless you modify it.
I really like the look though.
But I've been thinking of lower mine and if I do I'll have to find different wheels, bummer that the only 16" aluminum slots with 8x6.5 I can find are $2400 a set You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: 5-slot mags, 8 lug
Awesome!! Those look great! Is that stock height or did you have to lift it at all? Looks like you would rub while hitting bumps though. Also, how wide are your rims? I dont know that it would make much of a difference as the tires are 12.50 anyway and the change in width is minimal, but I would be running 8.5's on the front and 9.75's on the rear.
It looks like the wheel rub with the turning could be eliminated by having the fenders rolled, so that is pretty easy. Just curious how it rides at that height with that clearance.
Thanks for posting those pictures!! That really helps a lot!

Re: 5-slot mags, 8 lug
Wow, I didn't realize those were all out there. I'd just been calling around to local tire shops and everybody seems to think I'm stupid when I ask for 16.5 tires. On the off-chance that I find somebody that knows what I'm talking about, they want to sell me some 8.5 or 9" trailer tire. I did some searching on those procomp tires and they don't even list them on their own site that I can tell. Makes me wonder if they've been discontinued. Also, after all the super swampers I've owned on my rock rigs, there's no way I'd ever dream of running one on the street!Calfdemon wrote:Tirerack.com stocks the BFG's...

I do like the idea of the BFG tires. Not sure I can afford both wheels and tires at this time, but will be saving up for sure. I'll check back with you on down the road a ways to see if you still have them. I absolutely love those wheels!

These wheels are no longer for sale thanks to the pictures provided by Speedbug78. I went ahead and kept them and once on my truck, there are no clearance issues at all. And of course, I love the way they look. That is why I bought them in the first place! Thanks for the info Speedbug.

I was lucky enough to find some used tires that worked for me but there are ProComp all terains in stock at this site: http://www.ahwooga.com/detail.asp?id=142480
2 of the used tires I got are this brand and I plan on buying a full set when I have the money. I would get the BFG's from Tirerack.com but they are on backorder.
