I am led to believe the bezel for the dash instrument cluster in a '67 "bumpside" is made of metal. Is this true & if so was all models of the '67 made of metal or was it unique to the Ranger? I need a bezel but if I might find a metal one it would sure beat the plastic.
Thanks for any replies.
I have the plastic one in my 67 f100 custom cab with ford in it and I have a metel one from a 67 f350 plain jane with no ford in it. To answer your question you could get both in the ford but in the mercury truck I have only ever seen the metel one.
All I know is I have a metal instrument bezel around here. I don't know what year or model it came out of. I know they were made. A lot of help I know.

Thanks for all the info. I have seen the panel from an F-600 but I don't like the design. I guess also that the plastic bezel I have in my '70 can't be all bad--it has survived 41 years but the lower left bolt/screw hole has split out & tho I have covered it with a plastic "washer" & it can't be seen, I still know that I would like a new one. I'll admit it is a very pretty design but I thought a chrome metal one would be great. It isn't as pretty but it is durable. I will probably go with a plastic as they are easier to find, but I will keep my eyes open for a metal until I buy a plastic one. Thanks again--as usual you guys are GREAT.
I have the metal one in my '67 I recently bought. I must admit, I like the design of what everyone is calling the "plastic" bezel, but I didn't know it was plastic.
Although my metal bezel looks amazing after all these years. I recently took it all apart and cleaned up the plastic cover and it looks good as new. I'll try to get a picture up tomorrow just for hoots and poots. (my version of sh*ts and giggles)
