Headliner!!

Post by ibme »

Hi all...
Well, My head liner board is a complete but it has some bows in it... Is there anyway to fix it? I really don't want to buy a new one. I bought some headliner upholstery from a shop online ($14.95) and I was gonna contact cement it to the board. It should look pretty good if I can get the bow out..

Thanks...
Marc

maybe you could put some wood up in the roof it attach it to where it bows at. i was thinking about doing that to mine because it has developed a bow in it.

I haven't tried this, but considering it's cardboard, I don't see why you couldn't just get it wet so that it's pliable, and then form it to the shape you need and let it dry.

I think the material is a different type of cardboard---like the backing for door panels and such...I think you could probably get that backing material at an auto upholstery shop and using your old one as a pattern, cut a new piece and then glue your upholstery to it...
This is the point...I'm....talking about everybody! I'm talking about form! I'm talking about content! I'm talking about interrelationships! I'm talking about God, the devil, hell, heaven!!!! Do you understand???? Finally!!!!

The upholstery shops also sell headliner board that you can contact cement your material to just use your old board as a template. This is what I did in my crewcab for under 50 bucks I did the 2 of them in there with the material, board and glue. Sorry :yt:
