Anyone know how this comes off? I can get the antenna out but the chrome housing seems to be stuck.
Thanks

Re: Anyone know how is comes off?
If it is OEM the chrome bezel prys off and there are 4 screws
If it's aftermarket that might be a big nut on top.
I can't tell from here.

Re: Anyone know how is comes off?
Mine was just a press-in style with no screws. It had a round spring/compression style base that pushed into the hole and the little spring clips applied pressure around the base of the hole to keep it in place.

Thanks MAK, That's like mine! so, can I just pry it out or do I have to go inside the cab to get it?MAK wrote:Mine was just a press-in style with no screws. Mine took very light pressureI to pry off. But be careful, yours could be a different style mount and you don’t want to damage the sheet metal.Ron_Hall wrote:Thanks MAK, That's like mine! so, can I just pry it out or do I have to go inside the cab to get it?MAK wrote:Mine was just a press-in style with no screws. Re: Anyone know how is comes off?
The picture shows a nut on the top. I would remove the nut before trying to pry anything on sheetmetal.
After you remove the nut, the chrome bezel "might" come off exposing two self tapping screws. Others just use the nut to tension the entire antenna and mount. I wouldn't pry on sheet metal thou.
