That looks kind of hokey to me. It needs to be blended in better. But that's just my opinion. If you like it that's all that matters.

Currently qman it is in the prototype stage.

I plan on making it fit better latter on after verifing that it worked and doing some other work on the truck.

me too, I'm using a 93 grand marquis as a donor car, engine, tranny, wiring, digital dash and all. The plus is the dimensions of the clusters are almost identical.

Don't steal my idea now

The only thing that concerns me with the digital setup is the cost of replacement if it goes out.

I was able to get my Taurus dash for about 20 bucks off off ebay and replacements are plentiful for such dashes.

Also was trying to get an explorer dash setup but couldn't get one in my price range.

Hope your install goes good though and post pics of it for all to enjoy

Here are the four basic styles of Taurus cluster from the 96-07 models...

96-98 (black face, orange needles)
99 ONLY (silver face, red needles)
00-03 (black face, red needles)
04-07 (electronic, round gauges, info center)

Thanks for posting that.

I like either the early style which I have or the latest.

I can't see the picture of it installed in the truck. Checked your gallery, it's not there or I missed it. How did it turn out?

Will have to see if I have those pics at home.

Don't have them here at work.

So far it worked. The only thing I haven't been able to get tested was the speedo.

When I get the truck running again I am going to try it again.

I like this a lot. Will definitely have to consider this sort of cluster in my next truck. I wonder what other Ford clusters would work. If the 94 Taurus sensor worked then I'm sure 92-95 Taurus clusters will, too.

I'm also thinking pulling the cluster out of a floorshift car would be good twofold. You get a cluster with no PRND21 under the speedo (so you can either enjoy your stickshift truck with no automatic parts, or continue to use your column mounted indicator) and you can also pull the console and shifter assembly and sell it to a Crown Vic owner for profit. They love the 92-95 Taurus/Sable consoles to convert their cars to floorshift.

Hey occupant.

I for the speedo I just grabbed a VSS unit from a 90 something (first body style) Taurus, put the old speedo gear on it from the truck and it works great.

The only issue that one might have with these clusters is the tach.

Since the Taurus usually have a 6 banger you would have to do some converting or searching for/to an 8 cyl version for the rest of the engines.

This cluster I have also came from a car that had the floor shift automatic in it. All they are is just a set of lights that hook up to a plug in back.

If you want or need more info just pm me.
