Decaf for you!
Never had one problem with Rockauto.com, and I've spent over $3,000 with them in the last couple years.
Companies do make mistakes, but when you take into consideration that you are one of possibly millions of customers, don't be so irrational if they don't drive up to your door with the correct part the very next morning.
Give them time to make it right, before ya start bad mouthing them. If after a few attempts are made and they wont make it right, then post up what happened.
Quite frankly, from the way you're saying it above, it sounds like you're pissed off because they are TRYING to make it right.
Yeah, you need to send the cores back. They need those cores so they can rebuild them and sell them as remanufactured parts. They also need them so they can verify that you aren't lying to them to just get a pair of free shocks. Imagine how many times a day that actually happens with the hundreds of thousands of online businesses.
They tried to send you a shipping label so you wouldn't have to PAY for shipping it back, and you're still pissed?
Like I said. Decaf for you.

re: rock auto never again u ********
Not trying to , but I plan to buy some stuff from Rock Auto. I spoke with one of the customer service reps., he was very helpful and pointed me in the right direction. The prices looked competitive as well. Plus 390Nut has a coupon code to use
Sorry you got bad parts, but one mistake doesn't mean they don't know how to run a business. Send them back and move on. Good luck with the rest of your truck.

Your telling me they have millions of customers? He is 1 in a million with a problem. If a bank screwed up an order or bounced a check by mistake by 1 in a million, the Feds would be on them, they would likly be out of buisness.
Mistakes happen, but this one is hard to swallow.
Every customer counts they need to make it right.
