Ok, so my last post was just the beginning of a much larger issue.
1970 Ford F250, Camper Special.
I have running headlights and tail lights, my turn signals work front and back. I do not have brake lights, or hazard lights, which in the wiring diagram they are called emergency lights. I thought this had to do with the emergency flasher. The wiring diagram shows the power going from the 14 Amp fuse, to the emergency flasher can. From there, there are wires that go to the emergency warning switch and to the stop lamp switch.
So am I correct to assume that I should first replace the flasher can and if the problem still exists, change the switches?

Sounds logical.

Re: Lighting Confusion
trace the power coming out of the fuse box to its first stopping point the flasher can. i fthats hwere it goes. if you have power to it and out of it then continue on until you find where the power stops flowing. when you find where it stops you have found the problem to repair.
if you start replacing parts without not finding the problem. it could cost you a few more dollars than it would have if you just found the problem in the first place. this is just advise here. ignore it if you want. brake switches arent that expensive though.

Re: Lighting Confusion
So...it turns out the previous owner just snipped the wires for the brake lights under the dash. I connected the correct wires and it works great now. I will still get the emergency flasher can and run it properlly through the can so that I will have emergency lights as well. Thanks for the help!
