I have a 1972 f250 sport custom , I want to replace the white door panels with the steel panels from a custom. I do not know what color they should be. my truck is chrome yellow.
the panels came from a red custom, all the steel panels I have seen have been a slightly different color than the truck.
any help would be greatly appriciated.

Re: metal door panel color
My 67 was originally chrome yellow and the interior door panels were also chrome yellow. I never saw them painted differently than the body color.

Re: metal door panel color
it depends on your interior color. have you decoded your vin to get the interior color code? some trucks did have matching door panels others had it match the dash pad arm rests and seat.

I thought they should be chrome yellow, just thought I would check.
I have not decoded my vin , but it would show white vinal sport custom door panels right?

Re: metal door panel color
if it had vinyl on the steel panels that is part of a packaeg they added to the standrad cab trucks to make them a little more nicer looking. it may not show up in the vin decode. but the colors of the interior should. a build sheet would be the real way to find out that info. www.martiniautoworks.com
i think that may be the correct link.
