I cleaned the interior a little bit. brushed the carpet out and "dusted" the dash with a dry rag. I used some simple green and window cleaner on the dash pad. And I cleaned the windows as well. The other day I covered the engine compartment and wheels with purple power and then rinsed it all at the car wash.
I would like to get rid of the mildew on the roof and hood and then maybe I will attempt to wax the truck. I have been taking lots of photos so I suppose I'll start posting them here...
Cool pic's. i like your truck i wish my 67 was in that good of shape. how is that speaker attached? is it solid? never thought of mounting speaker there..

I'll get a closer look at it. It maybe just screwed under the dash. I think those are some kind of aftermarket speaker mounting brackets. I like the idea. It's a simple way to ad stereo speakers. Only one is working right now and the radio isn't very good so I want to replace the radio and get a pair of speakers that will fit those brackets. It doesn't seem too solid. But are not in the way so they probably won't be getting bumped all that much.

Thanks! I have a Sony Alpha 300 or A300. I have been using either my 50mm lens or my other wider angle lens at 18mm to take these photos. I've been making HDR images by combining 3 or more photos with different exposures using Photomatix software.

It doesn't seem real solid to me but if you don't bump it it is ok. Last night I took the speakers out and realized that these are wooden(plywood?) homemade speaker brackets attached to a piece of angled metal.
Nice looking pickup, I see alot of potential in it, I hope to find another one someday, Shortbox in that condition would be awesome, good luck on your restore.
