A/C Question.

Hey guys, Three days ago I picked up a 72 f250 ranger xlt camper special. It has A/C But im trying to figure out if it was factory or dealer add on. The heater controls are just for the heater no a/c control there. the unit is pretty much byitself but has "Ford" on it. Would this just be a dealer installed? I assumed that if they were dealer installed they werent made by ford so im puzzled it has ford stamped on it but not a integral a/c system.

Any thoughts?? I know this thread is probably worthless without pics so ill snap some on my lunch. But any information would be very helpful.

i ford factory intergal a/c is a hugh all in one heat and a/c box. any other type of a/c box mounts under the dash and is seperate from the heater box. there were many names of non factory units made for these trucks. FORD AAIA FRIDGE KING AND MORE. all intergal factory a/c had the a/c and heat sliders in the dahs. any other type of a/c would have the controls right on the a/c itself.
