Its a major job. Most guys on here would advise to find a 4wd pickup and start there. That being said...If you know what you are doing, you could fab it up nice. All it takes is time and money, lots of money.

I have a '63 F250 I want to convert to a 4WD. I had just planned on taking a donor truck, in my case a 1980 F250 4x4, and swapping everything over. I've even contemplated just taking the body off the frame and swapping it onto the '80 frame.

Doable. This article covers the conversion of a 2wd 79 Dent to 4wd but the principles are the same. http://www.4wheeloffroad.com/project_tr ... index.html

It's easier to start with a 4x4 or find a donor to swap, mix, and match.
