i have a older ch 3hp, 20 gal, 230v air compressor that puts out 8cfm@ 90 psi.
would i have any luck with any of these blasters, or would it be a waste of $ and time till i get a bigger compressor?

Re: Abrasive Blaster
I have one similar to the last one http://www.harborfreight.com/portable-a ... 37025.html I used it with my 21 gallon HF compressor to start with. It worked OK but had to wait for pressure to build back up frequently. I don't believe it even puts out as much cfm@90 as yours does. I used the Black Diamond fine grit media and it sprays well through the portable pot. I don't think it's as heavy as sand and doesn't hold moisture so there's no "clumping". I've since acquired a much larger air compressor and the pot works very well for everything I've blasted...and I've blasted EVERYTHING
