Lower column cover

Post by Damon23 »

What is the deal with these? I've looked at several trucks and they are always missing. Are the a pain to reinstall or do they break easy? Was just wondering

Are you talking about the inside or outside firewall plate?

I'm talking about the top and bottom piece that sandwiches the column at the dash. It always seems like the lower piece on all the trucks are missing.

Are you talking about the trim piece that goes below the steering wheel painted the same color as the dash. I don't think bumps ever came with a lower
one. It kinda looks like there should be one but there isn't. I have seen where people have taken an extra one and made it fit the bottom. If anyone knows
different let us know.

After looking at it and comparing the parts I have a extra top piece so I guess they are supposed to be like that. What threw me off was the spare piece I have is the same color. Oh well, you can't have too many spare parts. Picked up a nice little bounty today for some old tires I had. Fan, Shroud, Passenger side spring, floor shift column and a brand new glove box liner. Now I have to wait for my radio delete plate to come in and I can button up the dash. I put in new flashers and the hazard light switch even works. They flash real fast though. Not really a worry cause I hope not to ever need them.
