Post by takehikes »

Since it hasnt rained much here in CA for a while I didnt know I had a leak. Found a puddle on the drivers side on the floorboard. Any idea where its coming from? It was dry last time I drove ti but its rained a lot since.

Common Problem is the wiper pivot gasket.

Look up under the dash?

Mine is leaking at the pinch weld where the windshield rubber covers it down by the corner. Water weeps up under it and seeps in through the pinch weld. As a short term 'fix' I stuck a sliver of wood between the gasket and the body and it's allowed the rain to run out. PITA but I'll pull the glass once it warms back up and seal it properly.

My windshield rubber is pretty bad, its original. I'll take a look at it and see if that is where its getting in.

I'll check the wiper pivots too. Thanks.
