wiring for a F600 gauge cluster

Post by Zorm »

Ok, new computer, lost a ton of stuff. Like subj states. I'm putting a stock 600 gauge cluster in a 71. I know most of the wires color code correctly with the 600 connector except for maybe 2?. I did have a pic of the ones needed but like I stated, had a dump of a bunch of good info I had, can anyone help out, thanks.

Do serveral searchs of f500, f600, cluster wiring.

Schematics of the wiring are in the tech section. https://fordification.com/tech/schematics_h.htm

If I remember correctly (from a post a long time ago) only 2 wires have to be changed if both use gauges. Some clusters have lights and on those, you will need to add additional wires.

The charge indicator gauge (voltage differential gauge) will appear unmoved when active unless wiring size is upsized (fusing is suggested.)

Here's a diagram I made when I did mine. This it for a full gauge cluster.
Also included Is the crimper and terminal ends I used.
