RAT H1 help please!
Hi everyone. I have a ‘68 f100 with 3 on the tree. Had a 360 but was swapped with a 390. Truck is new to me. The person I bought it from replaced the flywheel, clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing. They didn’t have the clutch pedal linkage attached when I got it. I started assembling everything and noticed the throwout bearing is just starting to touch the clutch fingers at the end of its stroke. Clutch arm is bottomed out on bell housing and can’t be pushed further. I thought maybe it got the wrong pressure plate installed so I went for a new one and it’s exactly what I have already. It measures about 3” tall and it looks like I would need about 5” for the thing to work correctly. Or the flywheel would need to be 2” thicker. I’m new to trucks this old. What am I missing? Thanks for any help!

Maybe the wrong clutch arm , or the pivot is bad ?
