Cab & sheet metal compatibility?

I have a 1968 Ford F100 that will begin it's rebuild this spring. When it comes to the cab and sheet metal, which years are compatible. Am I stuck looking for 1968 - 1972, or will a 1973 - 1977 cab be a compatible match?

A '73-79 cab will bolt to your frame , but that's about it.
the sheet metal is different.
'67 has the same skins but there are differences with the doors.
